Strawberries

speck their redness

with golden commas

in abundance,

the weight of which

is proved by 

the tiny pits beneath.

And I love this 

exceeding lushness

of commas.

I chew and empathise

with each comma, the pause

between life stories

of the strawberries.

At 50, I eat strawberries

and suddenly realise

they are the best comma expert,

who reminds me that

each pause along my way

is meant to have its weight,

while retaining softness.

楚颜，传统诗词作者，1996年生于北京，祖籍湖北黄冈，毕业于墨尔本大学，个人词集《朝颜集》正在出版。

受家学熏陶，能自主精读古典文献，喜作格律严整、比兴得宜的古诗词。

已在多家知名传统媒体、新媒体发表诗词文章，包括《中华辞赋》、中国网、大公网、中国青年网等。
